News
02 July 2008: The Stabilisation Unit is currently advertising positions on a two year Fixed Term Home Civil Service Contract.

02 July 2008: Three new Stabilisation Issues Notes are now available - a series of documents providing developing thinking on topics affecting stabilisation.
14 May 2008: Coming in May/June 2008: Stabilisation Issues Notes - a series of documents providing developing thinking on topics affecting stabilisation.
19 February 2008: The Department for International Development, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Stabilisation Unit set up three framework agreements for the provision of consultancy services in conflict-affected environments. These cover services in Governance, Justice and Peace-building, Social development and Public Administration Reform.' Read more here
20 December 2007: A number of updates added to the Stabilisation Unit website including:

7 December 2007: Stabilisation Unit officially adopted as the new name for the Post Conflict Reconstruction Unit (PCRU) and Stabilisation Unit website launched. The change of name is to better reflect the core work of the Unit in stabilisation and also the Unit’s role in management of the MOD’s £269 million Stabilisation Aid fund announced as part of the Comprehensive Spending Review in September 2007.
9 October 2007: It was announced, following the UK Government's Comprehensive Spending Review (para 7.88), that the Post Conflict Reconstruction Unit (PCRU) would change its name to Stabilisation Unit.
